Kicking It Off with a Charity Poker Run
The Charity Poker Run is at the center of this exiting rally, taking place over the four days, with prices going to those in first, second, and to be a little different, LAST place! Playing Hold em’ Style, the first night of the rally begins with registration, costing $10 a hand, and with the proceeds going to charity, you can feel good about your biking adventures. This first day of the festival also includes a boat cruise and a Kick Off Bike Night celebration you won’t soon forget.
More of Poker Run
Day two of the rally is chock full of events and activities, starting out once more with the Charity Poker Run, but offering so much more. The fun is just beginning, and on this day riders can enjoy Pinacate Desert Ride, another boat cruise, and a beach party you will wish never had to end. The Pinacate Peaks are a series of volcanic mountains and cinder cones, providing views that may distract you from the joy of the ride. Once you are off your bike and onto the boat, the boat cruise offers music, drinks, and views of the Puerta Peñasco landscape, made more lovely when enjoyed from the bow of the boat. But perhaps are favorite event on this second day of the rally is the all-female bike show, showing once and for all that anything boys can do, girls can do better! Offering bikes that are blinged out, beautiful women who somehow look more beautiful when sitting astride those blinged out bikes, and a big party after the end of the show.
We Love a Parade
It’s always the right time for a parade and the Bike Parade held on day three of the Rocky Point Rally may become your newest obsession. Starting on Boulevard Fremont and ending at Manny’s Beach Club, the best viewing spots are from the sidewalks that run alongside the parade. After the parade a bike show at City Hall may cause a little envy as you check out the colorful and stylish bikes that are put on display. All this riding can dirty up a bike, no matter how carefully you try to keep it clean, and the bike wash held after the parade and the bike show will help your “baby” look all spiffy once again. A fiesta with music, drinks, and happy bikers is next in the lineup on day three and when all of the above have come to their natural conclusion, another boat cruise will make you feel glad to be alive!
All Good Things Must Come to an End
Coming much too soon as always, he fourth and final day of the Rocky Point Rally is dedicated to just one thing, the Fiesta in Old Port that helps take the sting out of another successful event. Eat, drink, and be merry, along with dozens of new friends that you may not see again for another 365 days, but once you do, it will be as if no time at all has passed as you ride, party, dine, and play during the next four days of fun on the shores of the Sea of Cortez.
