In recognition of Puerto Peñasco’s fishing sector, City Council has unanimously approved to rename streets surrounding the dock area in honor of former fishermen and founders of the City. The proposal, presented by Municipal Fishing Affairs Director Mario Hoyos Tovar, addresses 4th, 6th, and 7th streets in the dock area, which will now be renamed in honor of local fisherman.
